Under Different Stars by Amy A. Bartol

My rating:

  3 of 5 stars

Good morning Tumblr!

This is my last review on Goodreads, it’s about a book that surprised me for many reasons so I’ll post that review down below, have a nice weekend and enjoy the read!

Sometimes a reader needs a fluffy read
, Yesterday I was in the mood for something like this and I get through it in a couple of hours between two days, so this book has hit the target, it was exactly what I need in that moment.

The story takes place Under different stars, Earth and Ethar’s.

There are no plot twist, just a big flight until the last few pages when everybody takes a deep breath, maybe to give a short pause before the sequel comes out.

It’s what I’m used to read? No. I usually don’t like a storyline that contains a love story that comes to life in just a few days, but I get this one, it isn’t disturbing or unhealty, it’s just a fast developed story, and I have no problems to accept that…this time.

I don’t get the point of many reviews that I find on the internet, it’s a fluffy read with a touch of romance and a simple sci-fi scenario, what’s the matter?

There are some masterpiece of this genre that could literally blow your mind with effective descriptions of different sky, different planets and a lot of science fiction’s fan-service that I used to like, but I can also appreciate simple scenario if it works well with the main storyline.

About Kricket, the female main protagonist:

She’s looks like Barbie? Yes.

She acts like a Barbie-type? No.

So this is good for me. I don’t judge a female character by her hair.

Probably I’ll read Sea of stars but I’m pleased to find an interim finale that makes me satisfied for this chapter of the trilogy(?)

I received this e-copy from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

P.s. I’m exactly the kind of reader that hates “photograpical-cover-type”, but I really likes this one, it’s gorgeus.
